State Printing House Plc. produces the Icelandic Driving Licenses

State Printing House Plc. will produce in the future the Icelandic driving license that represents a new reference for the company on the international market of the security printing industry.

The State Trading Centre of Iceland (Ríkiskaup) has officially announced, that the public procurement tender invited for production, personalization and mailing of the Icelandic driving license was awarded to an offer jointly presented by State Printing House Plc. and the Security Centre of Iceland (Öryggismiðsöðin hf.). The value of the contract to be signed in the next few weeks amounts to circa 256 800 EUR which is valid for four years and may be optionally extended twice, by one year in each case. For the implementation of the project the production and personalization are being carried out by the State Printing House Plc. and the Security Center of Iceland- in addition to the local representation – shall perform the mailing within the country.Besides the complete document production and personalization, the assignment also covers the design of new security graphics with an option of switch-over to chip documents required by the EU directives.
