Albert Dékány has won the Hess András award

The Federation of Hungarian Printers and Paper Makers has given the Hess András award to the development director of State Printing House Plc. Mr Albert Dékány has earned the outstanding recognition with his professional knowledge, innovative approach and work of more decades.

The Federation of Hungarian Printers and Paper Makers has given the Hess András awards to the best professionals in 2009 as well. The Federation awarded eight professionals this year including Mr Albert Dékány, development director of State Printing House Plc. Primary reason for the award was his more-decade-long work while he actively participated in developing several printing products. His professional knowledge, management skills and humanity has also contributed to the recognition.

Short CV of Albert Dékány

Mr Albert Dékány has worked at the Technology Development Department of the Printing Industry Association between 1970 and 1980 first as a photographer than as printing engineer after graduating. Afterwards he was the printing house manager of the Geological Institute of Hungary until 1986. Having developed his IT and computer knowledge with self-education, he then became plant manager of SZÜV Printing House.

As a result of his professional knowledge, development experience and management skills, he was appointed the production leader, later the development director of State Printing House Plc. He successfully utilised his knowledge and innovative approach in developing the special security products of the Printing House. His major tasks included developing the printing of domestic and foreign election forms, medical prescriptions and tax stamps, expanding the use of holograms, and setting up the Company’s card manufacturing activity. His system approach has significantly contributed to improvement of the Company’s organisational, IT and logistics activity.
